Smart electrical and lighting solutions for Jyväskylä’s new market square
Jyväskylä will welcome its new Asema Square in 2027. In addition to the market square, the area will serve as a communal area, suitable for hosting small public events, among other activities.
Nodeon served as the design partner for the square’s lighting, electrical, and communication systems, including the planning of electrical outlets, distribution cabinets, and connections.
A distinctive feature of the project was the integration of multiple lighting control methods into a single, remotely controllable and adjustable system, enabling the square’s lighting to adapt to seasonal and daily variations, as well as different events, while optimizing energy use.
The construction of the new market square is part of the City of Jyväskylä’s wider development initiative, which aims to promote a vibrant, pleasant, accessible, and safe city center.
