Nodeon to develop Kuopio’s new smart city platform
Nodeon and Siili Solutions have been selected as providers for Kuopio’s Datajalostamo smart city platform project.
The City of Kuopio has chosen Nodeon and Siili Solutions as the providers for Datajalostamo smart city platform. The project’s goal is to enhance data-driven decision-making capabilities, promote circular economy practices and carbon neutrality, and support sustainable living.
“Kuopio is developing smart city solutions across three levels: data network infrastructure, the Datajalostamo smart city platform that utilizes this infrastructure, and applications running on the platform. This development work presents challenges but will ultimately improve the city’s potential for growth and vitality,” says Jari Torvinen, CIO of the City of Kuopio, in a Business Kuopio press release.
The platform will facilitate the collection, processing, visualization, and sharing of data. It is developed to meet the needs of businesses, educational institutions, research organizations, welfare services, and the City of Kuopio itself.
